In 2022, I completed my first mural project with the Black-owned pizzeria Slim & Husky’s in my hometown of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
The piece took shape as a triptych, three panels exploring the journey from childhood to the present and into the future.The piece reflects childhood daydreaming, exploring the time when sneakers became a part of my fabric.
At its core, the mural reflects growth over time, past, present, and future, layered with an homage to Kobe Bryant, highlighting the era when he was a sneaker free agent and redefining identity both on and off the court.
